11:30–12:30 Today's reality: collection and processing — LFP has a reputation for being expensive to process, and it can even be hard to find recyclers willing to accept it. A discussion with collection schemes, pre-processors and battery owners on the real hurdles to processing these batteries, and what needs to be done to overcome them. We are joined by Germany's battery collection organisation GRS with long experience from dealing with LFP batteries.

13:15–14:30 Meet recycling companies that process LFP today, or plan to, and hear about their technology, what they need to be profitable, and how the value chain can help. We'll cover the prospects for material recovery in Europe, the drivers and economics of black-mass trade, and the importance of downstream customers. We are joined by Cylib that will share more about their plans to build an LFP recycling plant in Germany and Botree, one of the leading recycling technology companies with long experience from recycling plant development in both China and Europe.

14:45–16:00 Maximising value by extending battery life – A discussion with ESS and repurposing operators on where reuse of batteries from LFP-heavy applications makes sense, how it improves the economics, and how it lifts residual value — but also, from the ESS operators' perspective, where a second life simply isn't feasible, and what the real boundaries are. We'll focus on the needs on both the demand and supply sides, and how the value chain can work together to maximise value. Sortbat, with extensive experience in handling and repurposing of lithium-ion batteries in Europe will share their view on how LFP affect the reuse and repurposing case.

16:00–17:00 Bridging the gap – A moderated discussion on what can be done to improve the situation for LFP today, and to make sure the right solutions are developed for an even more dynamic market when the volumes arrive. This session forms the basis for the workshop's conclusions, which we will publish in a report afterwards.
